Fear avoidance…what it is?

It’s what happens when we fear something, then avoid it.

We can fear physical things like heights.

We can fear emotional or social things like having difficult conversations.

And we can fear intellectual things like hard work.

Fear is a mechanism that’s designed to keep us safe but often the things we avoid doing are dangerous at all – it’s the feeling of discomfort that we’re avoiding.

Getting comfortable at being uncomfortable is the key to improving your confidence and the more you get yourself uncomfortable in the areas that matter to you most, the more confident you will become.
